Behind the Mask

All too often we see people and take them at face value. They are what they appear to be. The sad thing is, way too often, people are hiding behind a smile instead of sharing their trouble. Usually, there are signs, if you look for them, that is. The sadness finds its way to the eyes. Trouble etches itself into the lines of their face.

Instead of just looking at people today, really see them. And when you’re having a bad moment or series of moments consider the fact that others are too. We’re all human. We all struggle.

I challenge you to treat others today the way you’d like to be treated. Its a simple thing to do and might make a world of difference to someone. Go forth and be the best human you can be. I dare you.
