Ask yourself this question. If you only had a minute, how could you make a difference in the world? A minute’s not long. Sixty tiny seconds ticking away. Fifteen or twenty have probably gone by while you’ve been reading this.
It seems impossible to make a difference in such a short amount of time, doesn’t it? But it’s not. It takes less than that to hold the door open for someone. Or to say, “You like nice today.” Or to smile.
See how easy it is really? So what’s holding you back? Not having a good day yourself and waiting for someone else to swoop in and fix it for you? Playing the waiting game isn’t your only alternative. To be honest, its not really a solution at all. Some days you just have to decide to be happy. I know it’s not easy that’s why I like to do something kind. It makes my day – sometimes more than the person who received the act. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. It just might be the best thing you can do for yourself today.
So, take a minute. Be kind. Be thoughtful. Be compassionate. Be the best you, you can be.
